Dong quai contains active ingredients, called coumarins, which dilate blood vessels, balance the central nervous system and increase blood flow.

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 is required to convert glutamic acid to GABA in the body. Vitamin B6 is also a cofactor in many cellular biochemical reactions, including the release of glucose from glycogen and that of amino acid metabolism, including transamination, deamination and decarboxylation.

Magnesium

Magnesium, the fourth most abundant mineral, participates in roughly 300-350 enzymatic reactions in the body. It aids in maintaining normal muscle and nerve function, blood pressure, heart rate, vasomotor tone, bone density, serum glucose levels, calcium absorption and immune response.
